HOW TO LIST YOUR ITEM ON SHOPPINGDEY
BASIC INFO
In order to list your items on Shoppingdey, login to your account on Shoppingdey in the top right corner of the platform and click the Add Product button on the left pane. The first screen you will see is the Basic Details, where you are required to enter basic information about your item. In Is this product downloadable? , select No, if you are listing a physical product. Otherwise, select Yes, if your product is a downloadable product, such as songs, videos or software.
Next, enter a title for your product under Title and enter a name for the product in the URL Slug box below, if one has not been automatically entered for you. Next, enter a description for your product in the Description box. This is where you will describe your product to your customers.
Just below the description box is the Support Content box. Here, you enter your product support information by indicating the kind of support you offer for your product.
In Summary box below, enter a summary of the description of your product here. Next, select a category name for your item in the Category drop down menu. Just below the category drop down menu is the Sub Category drop down menu. Select the best sub category that describes your item here.
Next, enter a section name in the Section Name drop down menu, by clicking New Section or Add Section button and entering a section name for the item you’re listing. If you have a demo website for your product, enter a demo URL in the Demo URL box and the demo details in the Demo Details box below. Finally, you will need to enter product tags in the Product Tag box. You will enter each tag, separated by a comma. Product tags are the search terms that will enable your customers to simply find your product, such as shape, color, style, function, origin, location, etc. Once you finish with this section, click the SAVE AND PROCEED button below, to save your data and move to the next section.
PRICE
The next screen is the price screen. You should be directed to the price section automatically once you click the SAVE AND PRCOEED button. Alternatively, you can simply click the PRICE tab above. Under the Price Details, enter the purchase price of your item in the Purchase Price box, then select Yes or No, if the product you’re listing is a free product or not in Free Product. In the Product Price, enter the price of the product, the percentage of the discount, if you have any discount for the product and the discounted amount, otherwise, just enter 0 in the appropriate boxes.
Next, put a check mark next to the Use Variation, if your product item has different options such color, size, dimension, material, etc. You will be able define the variations for that item later in the Variation section. Next, put a check mark in Accept Gift Wrap, if you will be providing gift-wraps for the item for your customers. Next, check mark Accept Gift Wrap Message, if you want your customers to provide a message for the gift-wrap. Next, select Single or Bulk for the type of gift wrap under Gift Wrap Type and enter a Gift Wrap Price in the box provided below and click SAVE AND PROCEED button to save your data and move to the next section.
STOCKS
In the stocks section screen, enter the quantity in stock (available) for that item in the Quantities box. Furthermore, enter the serial number(s) for the product item, if the product has a serial number(s) and click SAVE AND PROCEED button move to the next section.
META INFO
The Meta Info section enables you to enter the meta information for the item. Provide a meta title in the Meta Title box and the meta description in the Meta Description box below. Next, enter meta keywords in the Meta Keywords box and click SAVE AND PROCEED button when finished.
PACKAGE & SHIPPING
The package and shipping section allows you to specify the packaging and shipping information for the item. Here, you will provide the weight of the item in the Weight box and the size of the item in the Size After Packing boxes. If you will be providing a custom packaging, click Custom Packaging check box above. This area allows you to provide the basic shipping cost for the piece/pieces, the cost for each additional piece, etc.
Next, you will need to create a shipping template or templates for the item. Currently, Shoppingdey provides calculated shipping templates for Fedex International Priority and Fedex International Economy based on shipping information provided by Fedex servers by default. However, you can create your own shipping templates such as UPS, USPS, Canada Post and other shipping companies that available to you in your country for use to ship your product to your customers here too. If you will be using Fedex shipping services, you can select any Fedex shipping service option in the Shipping Template drop down menu.
However, if you will be using other shipping companies available in your country, click the Add Shipping Template button below next to Shipping Template. On this screen, you will first click the Others tab and then enter a name in the Shipping Template Name such as USPS, UPS, Canada Post or any other shipping company available in your country in the box and then put a check mark in the box next to the Sellers Shipping Method. If this is free shipping, click Free option to the right, otherwise click Custom option. This will take you to the Custom Shipping Template screen, where you can choose specific country or region you will be shipping the product to. Here you will find all the six geographical regions in the world, namely Asia, Europe, Africa, Oceania, North America and South America. To select a specific geographical region, click on the box next to its name. You can also select all the geographic regions, if you will be shipping to all the countries all over the world; otherwise, click Show Details on a specific region. Once you click Show Details, you find all the countries in that region there. Here you can select the specifix country or countries you will be shipping to. Select as many countries as you want from a region or regions.
Alternatively, scroll down below and select Countries/Regions By Zones and click Show Details to select a country or countries in the zone or select the zones. Once you finish with your selection, scroll down to the bottom of the screen to the Set Shipping Details and Do Not Ship To options. The Set Shipping Details tab allows you to set the shipping details for the countries, regions or zones you selected above. In the Select Shipping Type, select Custom and select Freight Cost Is Determined By Quantity if shipping will be determined by quantity or Freight Cost Is Determined By Weight if shipping will be determined by weight. If you select by quantity, enter the required or needed information in the boxes provided below and click the CONFIRM button once you finish or select by weight and enter Initial Weight, Initial Weight Price, Additional Weight, and Additional Weight Added To The Price boxes as needed in their appropriate boxes and click CONFIRM button. Remember, the weight can be in either Pounds or Kilograms. You can ignore the Kilogram sign, if you’ll be setting in Pounds.
• If you need to create additional group before you click CONFIRM button, do so by clicking the Create Additional Group button below. Once you finish, click the CONFIRM button to save your selection.
• You can also set the delivery time in the by clicking Promised Time in the Add Shipping Template or set custom delivery time by clicking Custom Delivery Time link. In the Custom Delivery Time pop up screen, select the country, countries, regions or zones you want to set the custom delivery time for, scroll to the bottom of the screen and enter the number of days in the Promised Delivery Time To box and click the CONFIRM button below to save the data.
Once you finish with all the settings, click the SAVE button on the Add Shipping Template screen to save all the data.
TAX
To add tax to your item, click the Tax tab above and select the type of tax in the Tax drop down menu or click Add Taxation button to create a new tax. When you finish setting up your tax information, click the SAVE AND PROCEED button below to save your data.
ATTRIBUTE
If you will like to define an attribute for your item, click the Attribute tab above and select from the preset attributes that are appropriate for your item and click SAVE AND PROCEED button to save and proceed to the next section
PREVIEW FILES
To upload images/picture for your item, click Preview Files tab above and upload the thumbnail and default images and click SAVE AND PROCEED button to save your images. Remember to use good or professional photographs/images that depict your items, as they are your selling points. Furthermore, your images must be within the prescribed image sizes.
VARIATION
To set variation for your products on the variation screen, you must first create variation for your product. To do this, click MY VARIATIONS link on the left pane and click the Add Variation button on the top right corner of the screen. Here, you will enter the name of your variation in the Name box. After this, scroll a little down the page and enter the Key and Label for your variation options in the boxes provided. To create another variation option, click the plus sign button and continue to create as many options as needed for your product or item. When you finish, click Add button below. Remember, the Key name you create is for internal use only and the Label is the information that will be shown to your buyers.
To create variation groups for your variation, click MY VARIATION GROUPS on the left pane of the screen and click Add Variation Group button on the top right corner of the screen. Enter a group name in the Group Name box. Select variation from the Available Variations box below and click the right arrow button to assign that variation to the group and click the Add button below to save. Once you complete all the steps, click the Variations tab above to manage your variations. Click the next button below to move to the next section.
CANCELLATION POLICY
You can set your cancellation policy for your store by clicking the Cancellation Policy tab above. Select Yes or No to Use Cancellation Policy. Alternatively, you can use the default cancellation policy. Select Yes or No for Use Default Cancellation Policy. If you already created a cancellation policy in a file, you can upload the file by clicking Choose File next to Cancellation Policy File. Alternatively, you can create a new cancellation policy in the Cancellation Policy Text below. Once you finish, click SAVE AND PROCEED button below to save your data.
APPROVAL STATUS
Finally, click the Approval Status tab above, when you are ready to send your item for publishing on Shoppindey and click SEND FOR APPROVAL button below.
